Restaurants and food banks team up
A Winnipeg restaurateur, Benjamin Nasberg, CEO of Carbone Restaurant Group, has teamed up with Sscope, a charity aiding those with mental health challenges, to create the Restaurant Emergency Support Fund. This initiative buys food from local restaurants to support food banks, addressing both declining restaurant business and increased food bank demand. Kicking off on April 27 with 60 meals, the fund aims to raise $500,000 to support 10 foundations for three months. The fund is envisioned as a long-term support mechanism for restaurants and food banks impacted by COVID-19.

FAST FIRED Brings the Heat to the World of Pizza Franchising
