Ghost Kitchen Launch

READY TO GROW

Carbone Restaurant Group Set to Launch New Brands, Including Plant-Based and Pet-Focused Ghost Kitchen Offerings

Carbone Restaurant Group (CRG), the Franchisor of quick service restaurants (QSR) across Western Canada, unveiled a selection of the company’s new concepts today as it expands into the rapidly growing ghost kitchen market.

The announcement follows the continuing rollout of the CRG’s flagship FAST FIRED franchises, which serve quick and delicious pizza, custom-prepared from locally sourced products, with unlimited toppings all for one price. FAST FIRED has locations in Manitoba and Saskatchewan and is set to open new locations in other provinces later this year.

“CRG’s mission is to delight our customers  with exciting, new concepts by constantly innovating in the restaurant industry,” said Benjamin Nasberg, CEO of CRG.  “By leveraging ghost kitchen infrastructure and delivery logistics, we can rapidly shorten the timeline from brand creation to execution, allowing us to get new meal options in front of customers quicker than ever before with fast and convenient delivery methods.

Of the six new brands being launched by  CRG,  four will offer exclusively plant-based menus.   Those brands include Sophie’s Plant-based Diner (American Cuisine), Plantza Pizza, Fallah Plant-based (Middle Eastern), Holy Taco, Soko Plant-based Sushi, Mae’s Chck’n  and Fast Frozen (desserts). FAST FIRED locations already feature plant-based options including Modern Meat branded vegan meat pizza toppings.

With no front-of-house, ghost kitchens can be set up anywhere, from a converted shipping container to a repurposed retail outlet.  This disruptive industry is predicted to become a  $1 trillion global market by 2030, according to Euromonitor, a global market research company.

In addition to the above offerings, CRG is also unveiling Good Pup Co., Canada’s first ghost kitchen restaurant for dogs, which is set to launch this summer.

“One of the main trends we’ve seen the past year, as many of us have reevaluated our priorities and what makes us happy, is the increasing humanization of pets. As a lifelong rescue dog owner, I have long been passionate about providing my pets the absolute best when it comes to nutrition to help them live the long and healthy lives they deserve” said Nasberg. “Good Pup Co. will allow CRG to realize my vision of  bringing a wide selection of human-grade, delivery-friendly pet meals to our customers’ pets so that when the family orders in, every member of the family including the dog can order something special!”
